Greater Tampa Bay
Skateboarding is part of Tampa’s DNA. The designer credited with creating the modern skateboard attended Tampa Technical High School, and the Skatepark of Tampa hosts two of the sport’s biggest annual competitions: Tampa Pro and Tampa Am.
Tampa is also home to the Bro Bowl, a free public skatepark dating back to the 1970s and the first skatepark listed on a national historic register. The iconic park even made an appearance in the video game Tony Hawk’s Underground.
