Production Manager Thomas Williams honored with 2026 Janyth Righter Award
Founded in 2017, the award is named in recognition of Janyth Righter, the former executive director of Florida Public Media and a trailblazer in Florida's public broadcasting. It is presented to a staff member from one of Florida's 24 public radio and television stations, recognizing innovative leadership.
Thomas Williams joined WEDU in March 2024 and has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership within the production team. He oversees both studio productions and client rental productions, while ensuring our facilities are fully prepared and ready for every production and event. His leadership, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence have made a lasting impact on the organization.
