Food is more than what’s on the plate. It’s the recipes passed down through generations, the ingredients discovered at a local market, and the stories shared around the table. Now, WEDU PBS is bringing those moments to life with The Dish, a brand-new monthly food newsletter, and Dish & Tell, a brand-new YouTube series. Created for cooks of all skill levels, these new offerings invite you to explore the flavors, stories, and people that make food such a meaningful part of our everyday lives.

Meet the Hosts

Dalia Colón
Dalia Colón
Dalia Colón hated vegetables as a kid, but she grew up to write The Florida Vegetarian Cookbook. Today, she is an executive producer and host of The Zest on WUSF, Heritage Kitchen columnist for Florida Humanities' Forum magazine and a former judge for the James Beard Awards. When she’s not immersed in food, she co-hosts WEDU Arts Plus or is driving carpool in her minivan—always armed with snacks.
Michael Coccagnia
Michael Coccagnia
Michael Coccagnia discovered his love for food while spending summers with his Italian grandmother, learning from her recipe-filled index cards. As a Digital Specialist at WEDU PBS, he manages the station’s digital assets. When he isn't working, you’ll find him scouring local markets, fussing over sourdough, or geeking out on the science of nutrition.
