Japan's Sole Public Media Organization to Launch 24-Hour Local Channel on October 1

WEDU PBS joins other public broadcasters across the U.S. in distributing programming from NHK WORLD-JAPAN to bring Japanese and Asian news and lifestyle programming around the clock to more than 6.3 million homes on Florida's West Coast. The broadcast will launch on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, through a dedicated over-the-air broadcast on Channel 3.3.

As Japan's only public media organization, NHK WORLD-JAPAN delivers a unique and diverse blend of English-language programming 24 hours a day. The channel presents politics, the economy, technology, pop culture, and more from a multilateral perspective. It also offers documentaries and special features.
