Producer
Summary
Ideal candidates are talented storytellers who will be responsible for creating engaging long-form and short-form, documentary-style content including local and national productions. Candidate must be an experienced team player able to conceive, coordinate, produce, write, shoot, and edit projects from concept to completion as a multi-skilled employee.
Primary Job Functions
- Produce, write, direct, shoot and edit projects for multiple platforms
- Coordinate all elements to complete productions on time/budget
- Pitch new ideas and vision for original content
- Apply best practices for broadcast and digital landscapes
- Collaborate with producers, editors, and videographers
- Uphold elite PBS editorial standards
Education & Experience
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, or equivalent.
Requirement: At least two years’ experience as a producer creating narrative storytelling content.
Desired Skills & Abilities
- Mastery of narrative arc and story editing
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere
- Proficiency in Photoshop and AfterEffects
- Strong leadership and time-management
- Ability to lift/carry 25 lbs of production gear
- Availability for flexible schedules (Nights/Weekends)
