WEDU is My Source for…
WEDU strives to be the source for educational, cultural and entertaining local/community information online, on-air or in-print for the west central Florida area. WEDU endeavors to increase our viewer’s awareness of and participation in outreach activities and special events by demonstrating how much of a resource we are to the community.
WEDU has joined the Corporation for Public Broadcasting’s (CPB) My Source Public Awareness Initiative (PAI), which aims to celebrate and reaffirm the essential role of public broadcasting in our society.
The goal of the My Source Initiative is to develop a growing awareness and appreciation for public media as a valuable resource that informs, enlightens and enriches public life. WEDU hopes to fulfill this goal by encouraging public broadcasting viewers to contribute their experiences and engage in the national conversation on how public media cultivates an informed and educated civil society.
