2-1-1 Tampa Bay Cares, Inc. provides services to Pinellas, Citrus, and
Hernando Counties in Florida. 2-1-1 is an easy 3 digit number for local
information on and referrals to local non-profit organizations for those in need
of help, looking for help for someone else, and those wanting to donate or
volunteer their time in the community. 2-1-1 Tampa Bay Cares, Inc. also works
proactively with local businesses needing assistance or looking for speakers or
resources for their employees. Calls are answered in 150 languages 24 hours a
day or you can search our on-line database from our website at

CATHOLIC CHARITIES DIOCESE OF ST. PETERSBURG
Catholic Charities Diocese of St Petersburg assists homeowners in preventing
foreclosure. Within this program scope there are tactics and tools that
homeowners can utilize to assist them in resolving and/or preventing a
foreclosure situation. Included in the tools and tactics are ways to increase
income, conduct a job search, develop a budget, and develop an effective action
plan. Lenders are willing to negotiate possible workout solutions. However,
borrowers do not have the ability to communicate with their lenders because they
cannot get through to their lenders to communicate to them or they need guidance
and assistance through this process.

Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Central Florida and the Florida Gulf
Coast is an accredited, nonprofit, HUD approved organization with a 30+-year
track record. Our certified counselors help thousands of people in financial
crisis. CCCS offers professional, confidential counseling services that provide
guidance, support and knowledge for people to make good decisions and help them
reach long-term financial goals.
Services include:
- Budget Counseling
- Debt Management
- Housing Counseling
- Bankruptcy Counseling, and
- Financial Education Counseling
Services are available in English and Spanish 24 hours a day, 365 days a
year by phone at 1-800-251-CCCS or through the agency’s Web site, www.cccsinc.org. In person counseling is also

CRISIS CENTER OF TAMPA
BAY
The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay brings help, hope and healing to people
facing serious life challenges or trauma resulting from sexual assault or abuse,
violence, financial distress, medical emergency, suicidal thoughts, emotional or
situational problems.
Dial 2-1-1 where you will receive free, confidential crisis counseling by our
highly trained staff, along with information and referrals to Crisis Center
programs or over 3,000 other community services. 2-1-1 Tampa Bay serves as the
Rape Crisis Hotline for Hillsborough County as well as the Suicide Hotline,
Substance Abuse Hotline, Homeless Hotline, Hunger Hotline, Parenting Hotline,
TeenLink, ParentLink and Abandoned Baby Hotline. 2-1-1 Tampa Bay is also the
NCADI Statewide Substance Abuse Hotline (funded by SAMHSA).
The Crisis Center provides short-term economic assistance and a variety of
intervention and case management services designed to meet basic needs, prevent
homelessness, enhance self-sufficiency, and stabilize acute financial and
emotional crises of families and individuals.

Credit Union Housing Partners (CUHP) is an organization developed to bring together credit unions, developers, community organizations and government agencies with the goal of creating homeownership opportunities for families and individuals of low and modest income. Credit union members and non members may schedule free appointments to get information on preparation for homeownership, down payment assistance programs, mortgage products and much more. HOUSING & EDUCATION

The Housing and Education Alliance, Inc. provides pre-purchase and post
purchase housing counseling and education. HEA provides a variety of Financial
Literacy education classes and opportunities for the community to learn from
seasoned professionals the proper way to prepare to purchase their homes. HEA
also provides loss mitigation education and counseling services for those who
may be facing the prospect of foreclosure. All of HEAs services are provided to
the public free of charge.
JEWISH FAMILY SERVICES
Tampa Jewish Family Services (TJFS) is a non-sectarian, non-profit community
agency, providing assistance to those in need for more than 50 years. TJFS
serves all of Hillsborough County regardless of race, religion, color, sex, age,
national origin or handicap.
TJFS embodies the time honored tradition of community, and of people helping
and caring for one another. From one generation to the next, our obligation is
to feed the hungry, guide those in trouble, and improve our lives. The mission

UNITED WAY 2-1-1 OF
MANASOTA
United Way 2-1-1 of Manasota is a call center offering information and
referrals regarding local, state and federal, health and human service
resources. A client can call 2-1-1 and speak to an operator about problems he or
she may be facing. In turn, the client will receive information on agencies and
programs, best suited to address those problems. United Way 2-1-1 of Manasota
offers its’ services, at no charge, to the citizens of Sarasota, Manatee and
DeSoto Counties, 24/7. 2-1-1 also collects statistical data to help better
understand impending needs in the communities it serves.

United Way 2-1-1 of Pasco County brings together people from all across the
community to tackle the issues that matter most in our community through many

and volunteer/donation opportunities. 2-1-1 Pasco specialists are trained I&R
professionals who know how to provide the information the caller needs. All

FLORIDA AREA AGENCY ON AGING, INC.
The West Central Florida Area Agency on Aging is proud to serve as the
Aging Resource Center for Hillsborough, Highlands, Hardee, Manatee and Polk
Counties. Our highly trained staff can provide you with information about the
many services available to seniors and their caregivers and direct you to the
right places for the help you need. Our SHINE volunteers (Serving Health
Insurance Needs of Elders) can provide you with free counseling on Medicare,
Medicaid and other health insurance and prescription drug programs. Our outreach
and training team can educate members of your workplace, civic organization or
place of worship about eldercare issues and community services through seminars
