Free Foreclosure Prevention Workshops
St. Petersburg Neighborhood Housing Services, Incorporated will conduct free weekly foreclosure prevention workshops to help homeowners facing the risk of foreclosure.
The workshops will be held at the SPNHS HomeOwnershop Center which is located at
1600 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street South in St. Petersburg from 6pm-7:30pm
HUD certified counselors will be onsite to provide struggling homeowners an overview of the foreclosure process and offer individual counseling opportunities to develop an action plan to avoid foreclosure. All homeowners, regardless of circumstances, are encouraged to attend.
The Housing & Education Alliance Center is a HUD certified Housing Counseling Agency. They will have classes on consumer lending, classes for low to moderate income buyers, previous foreclosure information, information for first time buyers, as well as housing counseling available. Classes will be offered in both English and Spanish. The last day that you can register is three days before a class begins. Offers information for first time homebuyers, information on how to prevent foreclosure, options for refinancing, home retention information. Morning and afternoon classes are available. The classes are free, and are offered in both English and Spanish.
