The Giving Challenge is an annual 24-hour online giving challenge led by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County and The Patterson Foundation. The noon-to-noon event showcases area nonprofits and offers special challenge grants and prizes to nonprofit organizations who participate.

Each week, WEDU combines nearly 100 hours of award-winning, standards-driven, quality programming with educational resources and outreach dedicated to enriching the lives of children, families and educators in our community.
Your donation to WEDU will support:
- $25 provides 8 free books to area children through WEDU’s educational outreach.
- $1,000 provides a workshop for 25 teachers on professional development and Florida PBS LearningMedia training.
- $2,000 provides a one week of SUPER WHY Reading Camp for 20 children preparing to enter kindergarten.
- $4,000 provides a PBS KIDS Raising Readers Library Corner to a local library/school.
