Coming Up...July 2009 Inspired Writing - The name Lois Duncan means different things to different people. Young adults know her as the author of scary suspense novels. Younger readers know her as the author of humorous books. Librarians praise her outstanding contributions to young adult literature. Myakka River State Park - in Sarasota is so fascinating and enjoyable to visitors is because of its outstanding volunteers. These enthusiastic outdoorsmen and women do much of the work of the park, and Myakka couldn't function without them. In fact, the volunteer coordinator who makes it all work, is a volunteer himself. Little Salt Spring - is one of the most amazing archaeological sites on the continent and it’s located just off the interstate in North Port, Florida. World-famous in the scientific community, its significance is relatively unknown even to nearby neighbors. |
